What is the MaM WATER SLING and what is it used for?

The MaM WATER SLING is a simple hammock-type baby carrier, specially designed for use in aquatic environments, without submersion. The fabric of the MaM WATER SLING does not absorb water, so it remains comfortable for you and your baby when wet. The fabric dries very quickly.

In practice, the MaM WATER SLING lets you keep your hands free when you're taking a shower with your baby, playing with baby around a paddling pool or at the beach with the elders - or simply dancing in the summer rain.

What's the difference between MaM WATERSLING and other slings?

Most slings are made from cotton, a strong, natural fibre that feels good when dry. When cotton gets wet, it becomes heavy and cold and takes a long time to dry.

The MaM WATER SLING is made from a light, fast-drying knitted polyester mesh. It is comfortable and pleasant to the touch when wet, does not absorb water, does not become heavy and folds up very small. The MaM WATERSLING is not padded around the shoulders, so baby's weight is distributed evenly. The net weave diffuses the shower jet and softens the force of the drops of water that fall on baby's fragile skin.

ATTENTION: Always keep your baby upright in a wet environment.
You can tip him or her into the cradle position to feed at the beach or by the pool. Pull the free end of the sling over your shoulder to protect you and your child from the sun and prying eyes.

The MaM WATER SLING is made from a knit inspired by comfortable, high-quality sportswear. The fabric is a breathable, quick-drying polyester mesh. The rings on the MaM WATER SLING are made in the USA from top-quality nylon, and the safety of each ring has been tested and certified. The nylon rings can withstand a weight of around 500kg. All MaM WATER SLINGs are made in China in a GOTS-certified factory under Scandinavian management. We have maintained a close personal and professional relationship with this factory since its creation in 2004.

The MaM WATERSLING is best suited to children up to 12kg, but can be used up to a maximum of 15kg depending on your needs and comfort .
